Procurement of a contractor

There are many possibilities and contract forms for contracting out a project. The tendering methods differ in particular in the moment that a contractor is involved in the project and the responsibilities of the contractor in the elaboration. The choice of the method of tendering depends on the project and the wishes of the client. The moment at which the contractor is involved in the project and what responsibilities he receives has an impact on the selection criteria that must be applied. The choices influence the expected result.

Healthy competition within the tender

The ultimate goal of a tender is to select the contractor who will realize the plan with the desired quality within the set budget and the set planning. Each project requires its own approach to this selection process, which needs to be considered at an early stage. An important aspect here is how many contractors are invited. Healthy competition is a starting point here. Contractors will always make an analysis of their chances in a tender. The contractor will ultimately make a choice on which project the calculation capacity will be deployed. Too much competition can cause contractors to cancel, this could be just the one contractor who would be perfect for the project.

In addition, it is determined on the basis of which conditions the contractors will have to "register". The expectations of the various parties must be clearly formulated. Ultimately, it will appear that a careful tender not only yields the best financial results, but also the highest quality.
