The building accommodates the different religious cultures of Amsterdam South East and is unique in the Netherlands. There are five church halls, which can accommodate a total of nine hundred worshipers. De Kandelaar also offers space to a number of so-called self-organizations, a daycare center and a Turkish restaurant.
