LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design and is a globally recognized system used to assess the sustainability of buildings. Though it is known and sometimes used in the Netherlands it is less popular BREEAM-NL and GPR.

LEED was developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and follows the methodology of the World Green Building Council. LEED awards a building score in the fields of spatial development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection, and indoor environmental innovation. All points added together lead to an evaluation of the building in the following  categories:

Quick scan LEED

If you want to look at the possibilities of a LEED assessment for your project you will need to prepare a sustainability report. The experts at  IGG have a system called a LEED quick scan. In this quick scan the project is reviewed and the likely level of LEED award is assessed; however it is more versatile than just making a current assessment. The system automatically generates the suggested cost and benefits of changes which may be possible and may enable a higher grading level to be attained even at a reduced cost.

Costs and benefits of GPR construction

After a LEED quick scan IGG  has a preliminary outline of costs and benefits with an overview of the suggested interventions. With this cost-benefit analysis in place the full LEED report can be prepared, bringing all important factors and requirements of the client into the report. All through this process costed options and alternatives are presented so the programme can be developed to attain the  LEED level required on a fully costed basis.
