Overhoeks tower gets new name

The famous Overhoeks tower, previously the Shell HQ building in Amsterdam Noord is has a new name which was announced at a launching party by Sander, the creator of the new concept.

The tower will be called A’DAM which stands for Amsterdam Dance and Music. This conversion of the original office block has been very imaginatively crafted creating hotel, office, retail, night clubs, dance school and studios plus visitors viewing platform and several eateries.

The new DIFFER building progresses well

Construction of the new 12,000 square meter office building and research facilities for DIFFER (the Dutch Institute For Fundamental Energy Research) is progressing well.  A special road transport for exceptional loads was arranged to deliver the very large steel beams over night with a special escort.  These large components for the roof at last give some form to the project giving an idea of the overall shape.
For more information on this project see our project page or visit the site of the EHA architects.

On January 1st IGG relocated to a new address:

Princess Catharina Amalia 32,

The new office has in excess of 600 m² space giving our 22 employees even more space and allowing us to increase our staff compliment and to allow room for our planned expansion.

In keeping with our speciality and our  environmental concerns we are pleased to have relocated into the first building to have been granted a BREEAM Excellent certificate. The interior was designed by Architect and Designer Piet Boon in which he has made extensive use of natural materials and colours. The phone numbers and contacts remain the same.
