Programme requirements

A good design process starts with the preparation of a schedule of Rrequirements. The clearer the definition of  the requirements so an exact specification of the wishes of the client in a form presenting a clear overview can be constructed. Typically a good program of requirements would, for example decide on:

  • The quantitative requirements, this would includes the number of desks, workstations, clusters and the size requirements of each;
  • The inter-relationships of the various areas;
  • The technical requirements, these include among other consideration the climatic, interconnectivity, sound, lighting and so on;
  • The aesthetic requirements, this would include features, the design statement and the  the desired appearance of the building.

The clearer the definition so delays, remodelling, reworking etc. can all be kept to a minimum. IGG’s involvement in an early stage will help you get all spatial, functional and aesthetic qualities decided to prepare a complete and accurate Schedule of Requirements.
